Cyclemeter Cycling Tracker App Reviews

Great App

I really like this app. Although I never used the others on my phone, I find this to be very complete and packed with great features. I have the Elite version, which was so much more reasonably priced than the competitors. I especially like the auto email feature so my wife knows where I am on my solo rides in case of an emergency. New addition to this review: I now use the Wahoo RFLK & speed sensor with Cyclemeter. Both work very well with Cyclemeter, giving me even more data and versatility. I still highly recommend this app! Third review: after another year with Cyclemeter, I am still very satisfied. I once used a Garmin, but now Cyclemeter has totally replaced it. I also want to add that the tech support is very responsive. - Email them with a question and you get a timely response. I am extremely satisfied with this app.

Great app

This is my go to app for cycling. Distance calculations are accurate. Easy to use.

Well worth the subscription

Great app-very functional and probably the best bike computer app out there. Not even speaking of the reasonable yearly price. Not $60 like strava for a lot less stats.

Been using this for 4 years

I love this app. It tracks accent & decent, average speed, weather and calories burned. Though it says it works with ant+ devices I havent an ant+ device that works. I have a Trek with a Bontrager duotrap candence sensor that is ant+ and it doesnt work. This is not a deal breaker for me. This app has kept track of all my rides for 4 years and you can easily review any ride.

Love this app!

Way more reliable than Strava! Great App, I use it whenever I go for a ride.

Works great with DuoTrap S

All the data you could ever want. Spring for the Elite version. Works and BT pairs seamlessly with the Bontrager DuoTrap S for Trek bikes. Love the details and compatibility with Google maps. Highly accurate and updates continuously. Cadence screen is big goose eggs but it does calculate cadence in the summary and on the settings screen. (Using iPhone 6+)

Unstable.

Im not sure whats going on but this app stops recording my trip half way through. 5 rides and all have incomplete trips.

Works good

Like my handle, I bike for fun first, for health second...I know some people do not like this app for their own reasons, but for me, it tracks everything that I want to know and more. I would recommend this app.

Depend on this app

Love this app. Ive been using for several years and have recommended to fellow riders.

Constant contact

My family loves following me while Im on the road. I get to her them encourage or give me a hard time. It dose all the other stuff really well too.

Best app I have ever used!!!

This app does everything I want, plus a lot more!!!

still figuring it all out

Ive only been using the app for a few days but so far so good! I like being able to record my distance & time, still figuring out the other features. Would love to be able to name my routes but thats my only complaint so far

By far the best!

Im not particularly happy about any app that has a subscription tied to it. Ill say that right off the bat. However, I gladly make an exception for this app as it is beyond comprehensive when it comes to everything from detailed mapping, device integration and statistics that are beyond anything I could ever ask for (for example, getting mile-split stats with current temperatures during those individual splits!!!). Ive been using Cyclemeter for about 4 years now and use it at least once a week for my Saturday club rides. I get real-time feeds to social media and immediate posting to competitive products like Strava. Its a memory hog so you need to make sure that youre not running a lot of other programs at the same time, but given the complexity of this program, I am not surprised. I really like that feature of being able to customize your screens. For example I have a customize screen where it gives me eight fields of my most favorite items along with a real-time map all on the same screen. Though the online support for this program is a bit lacking, I have to say that email tech-support is incredible. I emailed them, recently, to ask them a question about importing maps. It was around 7:30am on a Saturday and they got back to me within 10 minutes with a very detailed response on how to fix the issue! Where do get customer service like that these days?

Great

I use this app everyday for cycling & kayaking and it is simply a great program. When on the water , it sends an email link of my GPS track to a family member in case the Gulf or the mangroves get me in real trouble.

Excellent app, excellent customer support!

I have been using Cyclometer for almost 2 years. It is the best money that I have ever spent on an app. It gives an unbelievable amount of data about my ride and the gps accuracy is amazing. I do a lot of solo 50-60 mile cold-weather bike rides in Minnesota and this app can be set to send email updates to my wife so she knows where I am in case something should happen to me. My planned route sometimes changes during the ride and I feel safer knowing that someone knows where I am at. On a couple of occasions, I had questions about the app and the customer service team responded promptly and walked me through my issue so I could understand what I did wrong. If biking is important to you, buy the Elite version; it is well worth the few bucks that it costs.

Awesomeness

Challenge...find something better, its not out there. This is it!

Error

Ok app. Top speed caps at 48.27 mph or something near there but average speed continues higher. Likely a coding error or a number format issue.

Great for every activity!

I am a novice at all things exercise, but I workout 3 or 4 times a week. I use Cyclemeter for every activity. Treadmill, walking outside, running outside, cycling... you name it; it records it accurately. Ive tried several other workout apps, but I keep coming back to Cyclemeter.

The Best Cycling App But Leaves A Lot To Be Desired

I used Cyclemeter religiously for over three years and my data were all there with all my statistics and locations of where Ive been. The only thing lacking is that this is an iPhone only app and requires your iPhone. Nowadays I use my Garmin to record my rides, because sometimes Id like to conserve my iPhone battery on long rides. Or sometimes, youre not able to bring your phone with you, like on races. Most times, Id like to also record my cadence and heart rate with my bundled Garmin. The problem with this app is that it does not have the capability for automatic upload from Garmin Connect, so its now missing many of my stats. As Ive grown up in my cycling, sadly I must leave Cyclemeter to get my ride data. This app used to be my go to as well for following routes, but it doesnt do turn-by-turn direction. Ive switched to RideWithGPS for that and I dont have to have my phone mounted on the handlebar to see directions but rather just hear verbal instructions on when and where to turn with RideWithGPS.

Ive come to love it

I used the free version for a long time. I got to know the features well and knew what it was missing. But the app grew and became very robust. There were a few more features I needed, but I had to pay for them. I decided to give it a try and paid for it. It is awesome! I love this app and its many features, like making routes and comparing my times. I love getting an email with all the stats I need to analyze my ride; see where Im weak and strong. I love the interface and being able to see my speed while riding because of the big font and placement, (my iPhone is mounted on my handle bar). I will definitely be renewing my subscription when the year is out.
